Our founders Barbara Fretter and Rob Lammens have been members of the International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology (APV) for many years. The two of them have conducted several trainings and lectures supported by APV.
As part of the Concept Heidelberg lecture series Rob Lammens has shared his expertise on the theory of roller compaction and dry granulation for many years. We remember where we came from and for this, we keep in touch with academic faculties in our area such as the University of Bonn, the TH Köln/University of Applied Sciences Cologne and the RWTH Aachen University. We give single lectures during courses or arrange practical lessons in our facilities. On top of this, we regularly supervise scientific writings such as term papers, bachelor’s or master’s theses and dissertations.
In addition to our academic collaboration, we also cooperate with engineering companies within the pharmaceutical branch to improve technological development and to optimize production processes from an operator-perspective.
Some of these projects are joint cooperations between both universities and mechanical engineering companies. One of our current projects concerning the development of an in-process density measuring method for ribbons on a roller compactor is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as part of ZIM (Central Innovation Programme for SMEs).
Since 2018 we have also been acknowledged as pharmaceutical research institution by the French ministry of higher education, research, and innovation (Organismes de recherche privés agrées). This certification was renewed in 2021 for three more years.
Seit 2021 ist Solids Development zudem offizielles Mitglied im Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft Unternehmerverband Deutschlands e. V. (BVMW).
