Small Scale – Big Impact - Precise trials for pharmaceutical formulation!
Small Scale Development
The Small Scale method was developed to gain maximum insights with minimal material usage. The aim is to design the formulation and the process efficiently with only small amounts of the raw materials.
The founders of Solids Development, Dr. Rob (Robert Frank) Lammens and Dr. Barbara Fretter, developed and tested this method in collaboration with the University of Bonn (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn). But what exactly does that mean? Rob (Robert Frank) Lammens und Dr. Barbara Fretter, haben diese Methode in Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität Bonn (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn ) entwickelt und getestet. Aber was genau bedeutet das?
With the Small Scale Development method, it's possible to perform relevant trials for formulation and process development even in the early stages of drug development.
This is always advisable when the active ingredient
👉 is initially available in limited quantities during early stage development
👉 is generally only produced in limited amounts
👉 und/oder sehr kostenintensiv ist.
A significant advantage of this method is that the basics of formulation and production methods can be determined even before clinical trials.
Dadurch verkürzt sich die Zeit bis zum Marktzugang erheblich.
